Dear Ebbisham tennis players
MONDAY 25 AUGUST – BANK HOLIDAY TENNIS TOURNAMENT FOLLOWED BY BRING AND SHARE COLD BUFFET
This is the last national bank holiday of the summer and we hope you will spend it at Ebbisham.
Our mix-in handicap tournament is open to everyone who plays tennis at Ebbisham and their guests. These events are always a hit with peak tennis members, but are also open to those of you silver members who enjoy a game of tennis – so do give it a try.
Timings : play begins at 10am and normally ends about 1pm when we will retire to the bar lounge for some well-earned refreshment.
Format : during the tournament you will play with a variety of partners and carry your own score with you to the end when prizes will be presented to the leading man and woman. We will be using our popular self-regulating handicap system, so every match will be a close affair.
Food : on this occasion we are giving our chefs a welcome rest. If you want to eat, please bring a contribution for our ‘bring-and-share’ cold buffet (ie nothing that needs barbecuing or heating in the oven or microwave thankyou).
Tournament entry fee : £3 per head – cash or card accepted.
