TENNIS CLUB CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS – 5th & 6th SEPTEMBER

Dear tennis players, parents, families and friends

This weekend sees the climax to our summer season – the finals of this year’s tennis club championships.

Over the past few months members of all ages, from the our under eights to our over fifties, have been playing towards this moment. Congratulations to our finalists, but also to all competitors who have played their part in the success of this year’s events.

SATURDAY 6TH SEPTEMBER will see 7 junior and 6 adult finals played out, starting at 9.00 am with the youngest juniors and adult mixed doubles and concluding with the 18U junior and the men’s singles. As last year, the finals of the over 50s singles and doubles, will be played during the evening of FRIDAY 5TH SEPTEMBER. See running order for details.

So, plenty to watch and enjoy. Do come down for at least some of the time to cheer the players on. As seating will be at a premium, you may like to bring your own folding chairs.

Refreshments will available during the day - our bbq chefs are gearing up to do a roaring trade in Porky White’s burgers and sausages – all profits will be donated to the club charity so don’t forget to bring loads of cash.

Trophies will be presented at the end of play, followed by music in the bar lounge for those who wish to carry on partying.

Looking forward to a spectacular show

With kind regards

The Tennis Committee
