Following more feedback from some members after the most recent lighting changes (namely the fitting of diffusers and the reduction in light levels to the lights nearest the rear of the court), the committee has considered what additional measures might further improve the playing experience for the wider membership.
It has therefore been decided to trial a reduction in overall lighting levels of 40% for a limited period, up to 28th February 2026. During this period, members are invited to provide feedback to their section representatives and/or by email to the committee at 'ebbisham-badminton-committee@googlegroups.com' (please do not send feedback to the office). All feedback will be discussed at the next committee meeting in mid-March.
It is anticipated that the reduced lighting level trial will be put in place sometime on Monday 19th January.
