Jly/Aug Racketball Leagues & Straw Poll Results

Hello Everyone,

The new racketball leagues are now up and running.

There are no changes to the leagues; they remain 5 players per league with one player promoted and one relegated (* See below). There are two exceptions:

1. As currently the case, league 1 will have six players with two relegated to league 2 and two promoted from league 2; and
2. As an expediency, league numbers may vary depending on overall number of players in the leagues.

Regards
Winston Heppolette

* The decision to retain the 5-player leagues with one promoted and one relegated is based on the results of the straw poll I carried out during the past 4 weeks. All league players except those in League 1 were invited to express their preferences. Of the 27 players asked, 14 responded with 9 of them indicating a second preference. The 14 polled as follows:

5 players, 1 up and 1 down - 10 votes

5 players, 2 up and 2 down - 3 votes (with 3 others as a second choice)

6 players, 1 up and 1 down - 0 votes (with 1 as a second choice)

6 players, 2 up and 2 down - 1 vote (with 5 others as a second choice)

Perhaps those who didn’t respond are happy with things as they are. In any event, I’m happy to hold another poll sometime in the future if players have a change of mind.
