Result of Review of PC1 and PC2 access to adult graded sessions

Dear [[firstname]]

Following a review of the previous decision to invite both PC1 and PC2 members to the occasional B-section nights, and also after consultation with our main coach, the committee has come to the following conclusions regarding the on-going situation (to be operative immediately):

  • PC1 members may attend B-section nights (free of charge) FOR THE FIRST HOUR OF THE SESSION ONLY (i.e. until 8pm).
  • PC2 members will no longer be able to attend B-section nights until they transition to PC1.

We hope that enabling any PC1 players to continue playing for an hour in an adult graded session night after their normal PC session is the best way to introduce them to an adult graded session, from which we hope that they will ultimately opt to join as full members, ultimately progressing further to represent the club in whichever graded session they end up in.

PC1 members may play beyond 8pm on a Thursday , subject to B-section reps being satisfied that they are of B-section standard, in which case they should apply for Young Adult membership of the section (at a monthly subscription of £17). A membership form must be completed and returned to the office, who will liaise with the section reps and process the change to the existing direct debit.

Please note that the committee will be reviewing things on an ongoing basis and reserve the right to modify or cancel the arrangement if deemed necessary.

Kind regards

The Badminton Committee
