Dual and New Memberships
The committee took the decision at their last meeting to temporarily put dual memberships (existing and new) on hold from 1st September, and an immediate hold on any new member applications (for any graded section), pending an evaluation of section and attendance numbers at the start of the new season. This follows the possible impact of the re-grading, and the number of new members joining, on all the graded sections.
Attendance can vary significantly by graded section and we want to ensure that all members enjoy their section nights by not having to wait too long between games. We will therefore be keeping an on-going record of attendance at all the section nights and regularly reviewing when we can further increase numbers within any section. In the meantime new applications for membership will be put on a waiting list and existing dual section members will be unable to attend the lower section after 1st September.
Also, please do not invite guests down to play on a one-off basis within any of the sections unless you have discussed this first with one of the section reps (and be prepared for them to say ‘no’!).
Election of Section Reps
The annual election/re-election of section reps will take place during the first weeks of August. Nomination forms for each section will be placed on the relevant section board in the WIltshire room. Alternatively, nominations will be accepted by email to the committee (ebbisham-badminton-committee@googlegroups.com), with the names of the proposer and seconder (who will be asked to confirm that they have agreed).

Due to the court shutdown for the upgrading of the lights during w/c 12th August, nominations will be open from Thursday 1st August until Friday 23rd August.
