Club Championships
Thanks again to all of you who competed in this year’s competitions and congratulations again to all our winners! It was good to see some new faces as well as established players!
We would like to thank all the helpers on Finals Day and, in particular, Lesley Coles without whom the championships would not happen.
Upgrade of Tennis Lighting
Just a reminder that, after a lot of hard work from Anil, we will be upgrading the court lighting to be LED. As part of this upgrade, court 1 will also be lit well enough to play during the winter months. This should be happening towards the end of October and will keep you posted when we have a firm date.
Tennis Committee
The committee works very hard to provide events, ensure that the courts are maintained and improved and a wide variety of other tasks. If you are interested in joining a very friendly committee, then please contact any of the committee members to find out more. The current committee is Lesley Coles, Evelynn Ansell, Viv Nash, Chris Harding, Sam Johnson, Shaun Dominetto, Sarah Eyers, Alex Barker, Callum Macarty and Gill Futcher.
Alan Baggett League
The league is due to end at the end of September and the new league will start on 1st October . Please make sure you results are all in by Sunday 29th September . If you would like to leave or join the league please let Gill know by 29th September as well.

Dates for Your Diary
Ebbisham Xmas Party – Saturday 14th December
The party organisers are doing it again! Come along on the 14th December to dance to DJ John Codd, play silly games and enjoy great food! Details to follow soon.
Tinsel Tennis - 2pm Saturday 21st December
Come along to the club session and show off your Christmas hats, jumpers and elf costumes! More details will be shared nearer the time.
A Few Things to Remember
Keep the Club Clean and Tidy
The patio has not been left as it should recently. In order to keep this a pleasant place to sit, please make sure you clear up after yourselves.
And, if you’re inside, please use the shelves beside the bar for your bags and not the floor causing trip hazards.
Saturday Bar Opening Hours
Just a reminder that, unless there is an extension, the bar shuts at 10pm on Saturdays with last orders at 9.40pm. Please do not ask to be served after that time. The staff are not paid beyond 10pm and they have to clean and lock up.
