The championships will culminate with the Doubles Finals played on Friday 19 April, and the Singles Finals, trophy presentation and buffet will take place on Saturday 20 April.
Please feel free to come down to the club to cheer on the finalists and enjoy the ceremony of the evening!
Plenty of matches are still to be played over the final week, but here is how the tournaments are shaping up:
Handicap:
Both semi-finals will be played next week, still with everything to play for!
Ladies Open:
Maja Leese has won her way to the final with a chance to reclaim the trophy she won in 2022 – this year she’ll be facing the winner of Gilian Mead and Lara Krnic who play their semi-final on Wednesday.
Open:
Alex Coonan and Dan Coffin will play their semi-final next week – a repeat of the 2022 final – with the winner facing off against Surrey Cup 1st Team Captain: Jonny Major.
Plate:
Still all to play for with quarter-finals and semi-finals being played over the next eight days!
Veterans:
We are down to the final – Dan Coffin will defend his trophy against John McNicholas in what looks to be a hotly contested final.
Vintage:
Peter Culver has made it to the final – he’ll be taking on the winner of Paul Carrell and Richard Skinner.
Open Doubles:
Four teams still in with a shot, and as none of them have won the tournament before as a pairing, we are guaranteed new winners!
Mixed Doubles:
Reliable pairing James Dubois and Jo Robinson will take on Richard Skinner and Emma Matthews – again we are guaranteed new names on the trophy!
Doubles Plate:
Semi-finals still to be played with four strong teams in what has been a great doubles tournament – whoever wins will be very deserved!
