There will be a Foundation Award (UKCC Level 1) coaches course being run at Ebbisham on the weekend of 9th and 10th December 2023 from 9am to 5pm on each day. This coaching award is the first step for anyone looking to help out a higher level coach, such as Tom, Ben or Georgina, with any of the junior sessions. You have to be 16 yrs old on the first day of the course to be able to take part.
If you are interested in taking this qualification , Surrey Badminton will re-fund 50% of the cost of the course for the first three participants, provided you are prepared to assist our coaches at some point, which brings the cost of the course down to £97.50, and this can be recovered very quickly when you consider that Level 1 coaches are paid for the time they spend on court assisting a Level 2 coach.

You will need to pay the full amount (£195) upon application, and if you are one of the first 3 to apply you will receive a cheque for 50% upon completion of the funding application form (which we can supply).
