Dear fellow members,
I want to inform you that I have resigned from the posts of Chairman and acting Treasurer. The workload of the Chairman’s job was onerous but having to take on the financial role in the club as well has proved a task too far.
Ebbisham has a small number of salaried staff, most of whom are part time. This means that the club relies heavily on its management committee to work as a team to ensure the club operates effectively. No single member of that committee should be expected to shoulder the entire burden of the operational and strategic decisions that are needed on a day to day basis. It is my sincere regret that I have found myself having to carry that burden without the full support of other members of the committee.
I would like to thank those of you who have supported my efforts to represent all members and their interests. I am at present still a member of the Management committee and will try to continue in this effort to the best of my abilities.
